We have been tossing around the idea of having one, non-hold'em event this year. Based ont he results of a recent poll, we are going to go with the idea of 5 Card Draw. This is like the kitchen table poker we played as kids.
There will be blinds posted, then each player gets 5 cards. There will be around of betting, then each player may discard and draw up to 5 cards. There will then be aonther round of betting, then the showdown.
These days, 5 card draw is played in Limit or Pot Limit format, HOWEVER, we will likely play No Limit 5 Card Draw, simply because that is the most familiar betting style for most players.
Rather than creating a new night for this event, the 5 Card Draw tournament will take place on a regular league ngiht; April 24th. The points earned in this event WILL COUNT AS NORMAL for the league.
